Custom Fiber Processing Mill for Alpaca, Llama, and Icelandic Fiber
Custom Fiber Processing
Custom fiber processing can take all kinds of directions. Here, dyed fiber is ready to be blended in the carder.
Next, it is mixed by hand and then placed on the in-feed of the fiber carder to be carded to batting.
Finally, it emerges from the fiber carder as batting completing this stage of custom fiber processing.
Here's some Llama Thick and Thin yarn that we spun for Lee Ann at Midwest Fiber Company. We nicknamed it "Laurel and Hardy". Lee Ann then hand-dyed the yarn for a beautiful effect. Just one more example of custom fiber processing.
