Fiber Drafting

• Fiber Drafting is running the sliver through the drawframe to blend colors further and is the essential link between fiber carding and fiber spinning.
• In this process the fibers are further refined in their alignment making the linear density or the weight per unit length more defined and consistent to achieve spinning a yarn of predetermined thickness.
• Use of this process allows different colors of sliver streams to blend in such a way that they produce variegated yarn when spun.
