Fiber Plying

Fiber plying is accomplished on our 4-Spindle Spinner for all of our yarns. This machine employs the same sophistication as our 8-Spindle Spinner, so our plying capability is very precise and predictable through the electronic assists.

For fiber plying we have a different situation where a single strand may break or come to an end and plying could continue albeit uselessly. To prevent this, we use infra-red proximity detection to watch the plying and assure that a controlled stoppage does occur.
